Imagine gold glitter shooting from the palms of your hands. Cool, right?

Accompanying this magical display there’s an intense feeling of being alive and expansive and powerful, and most of all a feeling of total focus. This is the state I lovingly call the ‘gold sparklies’. It’s what I feel when I’m allowing my connection to what’s greater than me to come through me. It’s creative force, the power of an idea manifesting.

As an artist I’ve felt this many times, accepting it as my own unique and wacky creative process. But over time I’ve come to have tremendous respect for that feeling tickling the palms of my hands and to realize it’s not ‘just me doing my thing’ but that I’m simply the conduit for something much larger and if I can give into it and trust that what comes through is meant to be, then I am honoring my own super power of connection. 

And what could possibly be more of a super power than to feel this life force come through me?!

I am astonished by it every time and I’m sharing this here because I believe every one of us has access to this. Whether you experience ‘gold sparklies’ or tunnel vision or the calm of ocean waves. Whether you pray or meditate or go for walks. Whether you create art work or people or businesses, my invitation to you is to simply sink into those moments, trusting and feeling your connection to something bigger, your very own super power.
